A beautiful idea brought up towards the end of ‘The Feminine Mystique’, in which Betty Friedan makes the point that, as far as satisfaction in life and sex goes, it is more important to be self-actualized than to play a distinct role of masculine or feminine, especially if you don’t fit there naturally. Those who had aspects of both were found to be happier and more sexually satisfied in their relationships.
Also I really like the whole second paragraph :3
